About the classes
Suitable for complete beginners and experienced meditators - everybody welcome!
While each class stands alone, taken together they also offer a bridge into a deeper journey — exploring how freedom from stress can be the first step on a path to lasting happiness and inner transformation, known in the Buddhist tradition as the path to enlightenment.
Each class includes guided meditations, a talk, and time for questions. No previous experience is needed.

The Teachers
Kadam Ai Peng and Ralph teach on different weeks throughout the year.
Kadam Ai Peng McBretney has trained in Kadampa Buddhism for many years under the guidance of Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche. As well as teaching at Heruka KMC in Golders Green and the Piccadilly classes, she is the Resident Teacher of Duldzin Dragpa Kadampa Buddhist Centre in Epping. Drawing from her own experience of applying Buddha's teachings in daily life, she shares them joyfully and practically.
Ralph Sueppel has been studying and practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years on the Teacher Training Programme of Heruka KMC. A qualified teacher of Kadam Dharma, he brings clarity and warmth to his teaching, drawing on Buddha's teachings to help students navigate the challenges of daily life.
