Quietening the Storm: Inner Peace for a Busy Mind - Silent Day Retreat

Sat 21 Feb 2026 | 10am - 3pm

At Heruka Kadampa Meditation Centre, Golders Green

With Richard Batty

Our minds are often like stormy seas—racing thoughts, worries, and endless planning can leave us feeling stressed, restless, and disconnected. This silent day retreat offers a rare opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and cultivate deep inner calm.

Through guided Buddhist meditations and periods of quiet contemplation, you will learn to:

  • Calm mental chatter and reduce stress
  • Cultivate clarity and a sense of inner stillness
  • Reconnect with the present moment and a peaceful heart

This retreat is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike. By the end of the day, you will leave with practical tools to bring mindfulness and serenity into your daily life.

The teacher, Richard Batty, has been practising Kadampa Buddhism for many years and he presents Buddha’s teachings in a clear, encouraging and practical way.
