Lamrim Retreat

Silent unguided TTP Retreat

Saturday 30 August to Sunday 31 August

9am to 6.30pm

At Heruka Kadampa Meditation Centre, Golders Green

Introduction with Kadam John McBretney on Saturday 30 August, 9am - 10.30am

Lamrim meditations help us to solve the problems of daily life and maintain a calm and happy mind all the time. Eventually we can attain permanent freedom from the inner causes of all worry and problems and help others to do the same. Lamrim is the very essence of Buddha’s teachings and is very practical – ideally suited to modern life.

"We want to be happy all the time, even during sleep. How can we do this? We can do this through training in meditation because meditation makes our mind peaceful, and when our mind is peaceful we are happy all the time, even if our external conditions are poor. On the other hand, when our mind is not peaceful we are not happy, even if our external conditions are excellent. We can understand this through our own experience."

-Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The Mirror of Dharma
