NEW 4-WEEK COURSE FROM 2 SEP 2024

OVERCOMING STRESS & BUILDING RESILIENCE

Imagine a life free from painful emotions like anxiety, stress, irritation, dissatisfaction and loneliness. But how can this become a reality? Buddha explained that all painful emotions are states of mind. By training in Kadampa Buddhist meditations you will learn the tools for changing your mind - from negative and painful to positive and peaceful.

In this series we will look at effective Kadampa meditation-based solutions to everyday problems, which can be practised by anyone, whether Buddhist or not. Each week will consider a specific negative mind and you will learn practical wisdom advice and meditations that will help you to stay uplifted and joyful.

You will learn how to:

  • Let go of the things you cannot control
  • Identify unhelpful thoughts
  • Stay positive and peaceful

The teacher, Kadam John McBretney, has more than 30 years of meditation experience. He will be teaching and guiding the meditations, and there will be time for Q&A. Why not give it a try? Bring a friend!

NEW 4-WEEK COURSE FROM 30 SEP 2024

DEALING WIH DIFFICULT PEOPLE

Often our priorities differ, our opinions clash, conflicts can build and we can feel like another person is making us stressed and miserable. Buddha explains some clear methods for taking control back and realising that you can change your relationship with others by changing the way you view them.

In this course, Kadam John McBretney will explore special ways of viewing others that will not only protect your own mind but will also enable you to respond to challenging behaviour more effectively.

You will learn how to:

  • Avoid conflicts and disharmony
  • Strengthen our love
  • Stay calm and respond wisely

The teacher, Kadam John McBretney, has more than 30 years of meditation experience. He will be teaching and guiding the meditations, and there will be time for Q&A. Why not give it a try? Bring a friend!
